Youth Sprint Training Minnesota
Sprint Training for Youth Athletes
Our sprint program teaches speed as a technical skill. Athletes learn how to accelerate, transition, run efficiently at maximum velocity, execute races, and build the strength and confidence required for the 100m, 200m, 400m, relays, and related sprint events.
What youth sprinters learn
Sprinting is more than running hard. Training focuses on posture, projection, rhythm, front-side mechanics, force application, acceleration, maximum velocity, relaxation at speed, and event-specific race execution.
Quality over fatigue
True speed development requires high-quality efforts and appropriate recovery. Sessions are organized so athletes can learn and repeat good movement rather than simply accumulating tired running.
Starts and acceleration • Wicket and rhythm work • Maximum-velocity sprinting • Relay exchanges • Sprint-specific strength • Race modeling • Video and coaching feedback
Who sprint training is for
The sprint program is appropriate for developing athletes who are learning the sport as well as competitive youth sprinters looking to improve mechanics, speed, consistency, and race performance.
