Minnesota Youth Track & Field
Competitive Youth Track Club in Minnesota
Lightning Performance Track Club is a Minnesota youth track and field club for athletes developing their skills and preparing for competition. Our spring and summer spring and summer program includes sprinting, distance running, hurdles, jumps, relays, strength development and race preparation for families across the Twin Cities area.
A complete youth track and field program
Track and field is not one event. Young athletes may thrive in explosive sprints, longer races, hurdles, jumps, relays, or a combination while they are still developing. Lightning Performance is built to help athletes discover their strengths and then train those strengths with structure.
Sprints • Distance running • Hurdles • Long jump • Triple jump • Relays • Strength • Mobility • Race preparation
USATF-certified coaching for beginners and competitive athletes
No previous track experience is required. Founder and Head Coach Amanda O’Connor is a USATF Level 1 Certified Coach. New athletes can learn foundational mechanics, practice habits, event basics and meet expectations. More experienced athletes can continue developing technical skill, race execution, strength, endurance and competitive confidence.
Competitive opportunities
Lightning Performance is designed as a competitive youth track club. Families can expect coaching, scheduled practices, team development, and designated local or state meet opportunities, with additional championship pathways depending on qualification and the athlete’s season plan.
Serving youth athletes across the Twin Cities
Lightning Performance Track Club expects to serve families from Roseville, Little Canada, Arden Hills, White Bear Lake, Stillwater, and surrounding Minnesota communities. Practice locations may vary by season and facility availability.
